Centipede & Millipede Control in Mid-Missouri

Over 50 Years Protecting Mid-Missouri Homes from Moisture-Driven Pests

Centipedes and millipedes are occasional invaders, meaning they don’t live in your walls or damage your structure, but they do move indoors when conditions outside push them to seek shelter. In mid-Missouri, humid summers and mulch-heavy landscaping around foundations create exactly those conditions. When they start appearing in basements, bathrooms, or crawl spaces, it’s usually a signal that moisture and entry points around the property need attention, not just a quick spray. BugOut Pest Control is a third-generation, family-owned pest control company with over 50 years of experience serving the region, including Columbia, Mexico, MO, Audrain County, Boone County, Callaway County, Montgomery County, and surrounding areas.

An IPM Approach to Centipede & Millipede Activity

A single treatment rarely solves a recurring centipede or millipede problem because the insects themselves aren’t the root cause. Our integrated pest management approach starts with a thorough inspection to identify the moisture sources, organic debris, and gaps in the foundation or structure drawing these pests in. From there, we build a targeted treatment plan rather than applying a broad chemical application and hoping for the best. Every product we use is environmentally friendly and kid- and pet-safe, and monitoring between visits lets us track whether conditions are improving and adjust the plan as needed.

Our team has completed tens of thousands of pest control jobs for homes and businesses throughout mid-Missouri. All of our technicians are licensed, insured, and trained to handle a full range of pest concerns, including the moisture-related conditions that bring centipedes and millipedes indoors. Follow-up visits and free retreatments between scheduled appointments are part of how we work because pest activity doesn’t always follow a predictable timeline. We also offer flexible scheduling for both routine preventive maintenance and situations that need a faster response.
